Atlanta Heavy & Bulky 3PL
Storage, handling and shipping for freight that is too big or too heavy for a parcel network.
You need this when
- Your product ships on a pallet, not in a box.
- Parcel carriers surcharge it, refuse it, or damage it.
- You need LTL or final-mile delivery rather than a parcel label.
- Warehouses quoting you by the carton do not have the equipment for it.
Heavy and bulky breaks parcel economics
Furniture, appliances, equipment, building materials, fitness gear — anything past the parcel carriers' dimensional and weight limits gets surcharged into unprofitability, and is handled by systems designed for boxes. Moving it onto pallets and into LTL or final-mile changes the cost structure entirely. It also changes what the warehouse needs: dock doors, forklifts, floor space, and people used to freight one person cannot lift.
Delivery is part of the product
For bulky goods the delivery is often the customer's first physical contact with the brand, and it is the step most likely to go wrong. Proof of delivery, damage handling and a real appointment matter more here than they do for a parcel that fits through a letterbox. That is why the storage and the final mile are usually worth buying from the same place.
